CHANGSHA, September 21. /Dunyo IA/. Delegations from Tashkent and Bukhara regions, with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou, participated in the International Friendship City Economic and Trade Exchange Event and Cooperation Dialogue in Changsha, China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event gathered representatives from 28 countries. Delegation of the Tashkent region presented the trade, economic and investment potential of the region, expressing strong interest in expanding cooperation with Hunan Province.

Within the framework of the forum, representatives of the regions of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the leadership of Hunan Province to discuss the development of interregional ties, increasing trade and investment cooperation, and the implementation of new joint projects.

Following the meeting, a memorandum on the establishment of sister-city relations between the Bukhara Region and Hunan Province was signed. Document establishes a foundation for the further expansion of direct contacts between the regions.

During the visit, sector-specific meetings, presentations and B2B negotiations with representatives of the Chinese business community were also conducted. In the educational sphere, Bukhara State University and Hunan University signed a cooperation agreement.

To promote Uzbek products in the Chinese market, the Consulate General organized a “Made in Uzbekistan” pavilion at the “Hunan International Friendship Cities Premium Products” exhibition. The pavilion showcased the export-oriented products of Uzbek artisans.

Meetings and presentations conducted during the event facilitated the expansion of business contacts and identified new avenues for practical cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and China.
