Delegation of Sweden conducts negotiations on the trade agenda in Uzbekistan

• 285STOCKHOLM, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation from Sweden’s National Board of Trade “Kommerskollegium”, led by Deputy Director Sara Sandelius, is on a working visit to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, the delegation held talks with the leadership of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Agency for Technical Regulation and Trade Development Company. The meetings focused on Uzbekistan's accession to the World Trade Organization, improvement of the technical regulation system and the expansion of the country's export potential.
It was noted that the parties reviewed the prospects for deepening cooperation in the field of trade policy, as well as the implementation of international standards and increasing the competitiveness of national products in foreign markets.
In addition, a two-day training seminar for domestic exporting enterprises and specialized experts was organized with the participation of Swedish experts. The event addressed issues related to the implementation of international technical regulations and the adaptation of trade policy to global requirements.
According to experts, this visit contributes to the further strengthening of Uzbek-Swedish cooperation in the fields of trade policy, technical regulation and export promotion.
