PANEVĖŽYS, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. With the assistance of the Embassy of our country in Riga, an online meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the leadership of Panevėžys College in Lithuania, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the dialogue, the parties discussed issues of expanding international cooperation in the fields of medicine and vocational education, training qualified personnel and implementing best practices.

Important agreements were reached following the meeting. In particular, the parties planned to establish an international faculty of Panevėžys College at the Nurses Academy of Uzbekistan based on “double degree” standards.

In addition, an agreement was reached to organize professional development courses for teaching staff with the participation of the Lithuanian side in cooperation with the Center for Professional Qualification Development of Medical Workers of Uzbekistan. It was noted that these programs are aimed at implementing modern educational methods and enhancing personnel potential.
