Tashkent hosts expert discussions on enhancing consultative dialogue between Central Asia and Afghanistan

KABUL, April 17. /Dunyo IA/. A “roundtable” discussion was held in Tashkent dedicated to the prospects of consultative dialogue between the Central Asian countries and Afghanistan and its role in strengthening regional cooperation, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing with the portal of the Afghan TV channel “Ariana News”.
The event was organized by the International Institute for Central Asia and brought together diplomats, representatives of analytical centers, and regional experts from Uzbekistan and Afghanistan, including representatives of the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.
Participants discussed the further development of the consultative format and emphasized its importance for strengthening bilateral relations and expanding regional cooperation.
Director of the International Institute for Central Asia, Javlon Vakhabov, noted that the launch of the dialogue was an important step in forming constructive and practical interaction between Afghanistan and the states of the region. He emphasized the role of analytical centers in preparing expert proposals to support political processes.
Abdul Hai, Director General of the Center for Strategic Studies (CSS) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, noted the contribution of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the development of regional cooperation, calling Tashkent's economically oriented approach an important factor in strengthening interaction with Afghanistan.
Following the roundtable, participants confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation, expand expert dialogue and implement joint initiatives in the interests of regional stability and development.
