Namangan State Technical University strengthens educational cooperation with Malaysia within the framework of the “Education 4.0” concept

KUALA LUMPUR, July 31. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation from the Namangan State Technical University, led by Rector Oybek Ergashev, paid a visit to Malaysia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, meetings were held with the leadership of Malaysia's leading higher education institutions, including the University of Malaya, University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and University Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA).

One of the key outcomes of the visit was the signing of a new three-year Memorandum of Cooperation with University Teknologi MARA. The document establishes a legal framework for the further expansion of joint educational programs, scientific research, the implementation of innovative projects, as well as academic exchange for faculty and students.

Following the negotiations, the sides reached agreements on establishing a joint laboratory for artificial intelligence and Smart Manufacturing, opening a research center for green technologies and sustainable engineering, launching joint dual PhD programs, implementing a system of dual academic supervision for doctoral students, organizing summer and winter schools, as well as executing joint research projects under international grants.

At University Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, the delegation observed the operations of cutting-edge research laboratories, including the Solar Energy Research Institute, as well as the Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics. During the visit, agreements were reached to exchange best practices in scientific infrastructure development, the commercialization of innovative technologies, and the management of advanced research facilities.

Furthermore, representatives from the Namangan State Technical University participated in the 9th International Conference on Functional Materials and Devices (ICFMD-2026), held in Malacca. Within the conference frameworks, they explored the latest global scientific breakthroughs in functional materials, advanced devices, and innovative technologies, while also establishing new academic networks with foreign partners.
