ABU DHABI, July 30. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from our country held a meeting with Mohammed Rashid Bayat, Vice Chairman of Sharjah Charity International (SCI), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, SCI leadership was briefed in detail on the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years to support vulnerable segments of the population, the new transparent and digitalized system of social services and state programs aimed at developing human capital.

Additionally, presentations were made on priority grant projects planned for implementation in our country. These projects cover vital areas such as education, healthcare, improving drinking water supply and developing social infrastructure.

At the conclusion of the talks, the parties reached an agreement on the next phases of practical cooperation. In particular, SCI will select the projects eligible for grant funding.

At the same time, an agreement was reached to organize a visit of the SCI leadership and experts to Uzbekistan in September–October 2026 to sign the relevant agreements.

This meeting marked a significant step toward further strengthening socio-humanitarian cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as attracting international grant funding for social projects aimed at raising the living standards of the population in our country.

SCI was established in 1989 on the initiative of the Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, and is currently one of the largest charitable organizations in the UAE. The organization has been implementing humanitarian projects in the fields of social protection, education, healthcare and infrastructure development in more than 100 countries worldwide.
