TASHKENT, June 25. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan business forum was held in the capital of Uzbekistan as part of the 5th Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIIF), with the participation of representatives of government institutions, economic zones, and business communities from both countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The main topics of the meeting included industrial cooperation, the development of special economic zones, as well as strengthening transport, logistics, and infrastructure connectivity between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

During the discussions, the importance of practical mechanisms of cooperation in implementing joint projects was emphasized. Nazim Hajiyev, CEO of the Azerbaijan–Uzbekistan Investment Company (AUIC), noted that the dedicated Uzbek-Azerbaijani session within the forum is an important indicator of the growing bilateral agenda covering SEZs, logistics, and industrial cooperation.

It is noted that AUIC, established by the governments of the two countries in 2023 with a charter capital of 500 million US dollars, serves as an instrument for direct financing of joint projects in manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure.

Following the forum, an increased interest was confirmed in the areas forming the basis of the company’s activities, within the framework of the expanding economic cooperation between the two countries.
