TEL AVIV, July 26. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of Uzbekistan, alongside specialists from Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, participated in the international training course “Sustainable Water Resource Management” from July 12^th to 24^th, organized by Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Course program was dedicated to studying Israel's advanced experience in the rational use and sustainable management of water resources.

During the training, the participants familiarized themselves with modern approaches to water use, drip and sprinkler irrigation, treated wastewater reuse, watershed management, flood prevention, seawater desalination, as well as Israel’s state regulation system for the water sector.

Special attention within the course was paid to the practical component. The participants visited Israel’s leading water infrastructure facilities, including the national water company “Mekorot”, research and agrotechnological centers, wastewater treatment plants, a desalination facility, the Israel Water Authority, as well as a number of enterprises and organizations implementing advanced technologies for water supply, irrigation and water recycling.

On July 23^rd, course closing ceremony was held at the MASHAV training center. It was preceded by a “roundtable” dedicated to the possibilities of applying modern water resource management methods in the participating countries, followed by a final evaluation of the program. Upon completion of the event, the participants were awarded certificates of successful course completion.

Participation of Uzbekistan's representatives in MASHAV educational programs contributes to expanding the professional knowledge of domestic specialists, studying advanced international experience and developing practical cooperation in efficient water resource management, which is of vital importance for ensuring the country's water security and sustainable development.
