“El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation and Council of Higher Education of Türkiye discuss prospects for joint educational projects

ANKARA, July 26. /Dunyo IA/. “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation and the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye (YÖK) held a meeting dedicated to the implementation of joint human resource development projects, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Talks were attended by Gulnoza Ismailova, Executive Director of the Foundation, and Erol Özvar, President of YÖK. Rectors of leading Turkish universities, including Middle East Technical University, Boğaziçi University, Istanbul Technical University, Hacettepe University, Gazi University, and Ankara University, also participated via videoconferencing.

Parties discussed the practical implementation of projects, including the organization of targeted internships in strategically important sectors of the economy and public administration. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to launch internship and professional development programs for promising specialists.

Special attention was paid to human resource development in the fields of medicine and healthcare management. Ankara University, Hacettepe University, and Gazi University expressed their readiness to organize specialized courses, within the framework of which young specialists from Uzbekistan will be able to undergo clinical internships, engage in scientific research and improve their practical skills.

Joint internships combining theoretical and practical training in artificial intelligence, robotics, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technologies, and cybersecurity are planned to be organized with Middle East Technical University, Boğaziçi University, and Istanbul Technical University.

Furthermore, the parties reviewed opportunities for Uzbek researchers to pursue Master’s and “PhD” programs at Turkish universities.

Following the talks, a joint working group comprising representatives of the “El-Yurt Umidi” Foundation, YÖK, and relevant universities was established to address organizational matters. According to the preliminary agreement, regular one-month courses are scheduled to be conducted during the summer and winter periods for each field, involving 7–8 specialists per cohort.
