Cooperation between the Navoi Region and the Pakistani Province of Sindh is being raised to a new level

KARACHI, May 8. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Alisher Tukhtaev and the Khokim of Navoi region Normat Tursunov met with the Governor of Sindh province Nehal Hashmi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

At the beginning of the conversation, the parties emphasized the importance of further strengthening the traditionally friendly relations between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, expanding cooperation based on mutual trust and respect and developing interregional economic ties.

The parties discussed raising the cooperation between the Navoi region and the Sindh province to a new level, identifying mutually beneficial areas of interaction and implementing promising projects.

Particular attention was paid to the further development of bilateral cooperation. Specifically, proposals and initiatives were put forward to strengthen interaction in the fields of industry, agriculture, investment attraction, education and innovation.

Meeting participants emphasized the need for effective use of existing potential, expanding cooperation between business circles and stimulating direct investment. Special attention was paid to opportunities for exchanging experience in agriculture, including the development of potato farming, the introduction of high-yielding and climate-adapted varieties, the use of modern agrotechnologies, rational water resource management and the development of processing and storage infrastructure. The importance of establishing cooperation between research institutions, training specialists and implementing professional development programs was also noted.

In the industrial sector, the emphasis was placed on the creation of joint ventures, technology transfer, and the introduction of mechanisms to support small and medium-sized businesses.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to bring interregional cooperation to a new level, implement joint projects in specific areas, and establish a regular dialogue and exchange of experience. It was noted that these measures will contribute to practical results and the sustainable development of the economy and social sphere.

The parties expressed confidence that this visit will contribute to the further deepening of partnership relations between the two states and their regions and also outlined optimistic prospects for future cooperation.
