Event was attended by state and political figures, entrepreneurs, heads of industrial enterprises, and representatives of business associations from both countries. Participants discussed issues of expanding trade and economic relations, attracting investments and implementing joint projects.
During the forum, it was emphasized that industrial cooperation, the introduction of modern technologies and the establishment of joint ventures are of paramount importance in elevating the cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye to a new level.
Combining the manufacturing experience of Turkish companies with the economic potential of Uzbekistan, creating new jobs and increasing the production of export-oriented goods were noted as promising directions.
One of the key topics of the event was the initiative to establish the Uzbek–Turkish Organized Industrial Zone in Tashkent, based on the experience of Türkiye's OSTİM Industrial Zone. Within the framework of this project, which is valued at approximately $300 million and planned to occupy an area of 100 hectares, creation of more than 10,000 jobs is envisaged.
Along with manufacturing enterprises, industrial zone is planned to include technology development centers, as well as educational, medical, and logistics infrastructure. In addition, the initiative to develop a 160-hectare industrial area in the city of Nukus is of significant importance for increasing investment activity in the regions.
New Tashkent project also opens up great opportunities for Turkish investors. In particular, the project to construct a $73 million energy facility with the participation of the “MİMSAN” company demonstrates that cooperation between the two countries is also expanding in the energy and modern infrastructure sectors.
Volume of Turkish investments in the economy of Uzbekistan has exceeded $8 billion, and the number of enterprises with the participation of Turkish capital is more than 2.2 thousand. These figures demonstrate the consistent development of economic relations between the two countries.
From now on, the effective utilization of existing potential, the production of high value-added goods, the development of industrial clusters, and joint entry into foreign markets are considered important tasks.
Forum in Ankara has become a significant platform for dialogue to strengthen trade and economic cooperation, implement new investment projects, and expand industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
