"Uzbek Literature" corner to be established in the Guangzhou Library

GUANGZHOU, July 9. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan held online negotiations with their Chinese counterparts from the Guangzhou Library, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The talks were organized with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Guangzhou to promote the international status and prestige of the Uzbek language and to create opportunities for compatriots living in the region, as well as foreign citizens interested in learning Uzbek and reading Uzbek literature.
During the meeting, Gulbakhor Kabiljanova, Head of the International Relations Department at the National Library of Uzbekistan, provided detailed information about the library’s history, its capabilities, achievements in international cooperation, and promising plans for potential future collaboration with the Guangzhou Library.
The Chinese side, in turn, emphasized the importance of developing bilateral relations, regularly exchanging experiences and modern knowledge, advanced technologies, and innovative solutions in this field. They also expressed readiness to sign a cooperation agreement with the Uzbek side.
Both parties agreed to organize a "Uzbek Literature" corner at the "Multicultural Library" center within the Guangzhou Library, as well as to hold exhibitions dedicated to Uzbekistan’s rich cultural and historical heritage and the life and activities of the great ancestors of the Uzbek people.
