CAIRO, December 14. /Dunyo IA/. A high-level Uzbek-Egyptian business forum was held in the Egyptian capital, bringing together leading representatives from the textile industry of both countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The forum focused on expanding trade and economic cooperation, exploring new opportunities in the textile and garment sector, promoting joint investment projects, and strengthening direct business links between enterprises.

Key participants included major cotton-textile clusters and manufacturers from Uzbekistan and Egypt, such as "Bukhara Textile Cotton", "Tashkent Cotton Textile", "Lufian Tex", "Smart Apparel", "T&C Garment", "Erak Giyum", "Lotus", and "Sheeba International". Discussions covered export-import potential, market demand, production standards, and logistics routes.

The event also featured B2B meetings that identified mutually beneficial opportunities. Companies discussed potential collaborations, trial shipments, joint ventures, and long-term contracts. Special attention was given to developing sustainable supply chains, modernizing production technologies, and exchanging expertise.

As a result of the forum, business communities from both countries agreed to maintain regular contact, organize joint seminars and exhibitions throughout the year, and enhance reciprocal business visits. The Cairo Textile Forum marks a significant step toward elevating industrial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Egypt.

Hamdi Abu al‑Anain, a senior representative of Egypt’s textile industry, highlighted Uzbekistan’s regional leadership in textiles and expressed commitment to close cooperation with Uzbek companies. Preliminary agreements were reached on partnership strengthening, joint production in Egypt, export facilitation, warehouse and showroom development, and trade link expansion.
