Uzbek-Polish Cooperation Forum takes place in Gdansk

• 119GDANSK, June 15. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan–Poland Cooperation Forum was held in the Polish city of Gdansk, with the participation of representatives from government agencies, business circles, and the expert community of the two countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan, representatives of “IT Park Uzbekistan”, compatriots, as well as the Vice President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce Andrzej Szumowski, Member of the Board of the Pomeranian Voivodeship Adam Gawrylik, former Voivode of this Voivodeship Dariusz Drelich, MPs, and representatives of leading companies in the region.
During the forum, the economic, investment, tourism, and IT potential of Uzbekistan, the main directions of the updated “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, as well as the results of large-scale reforms implemented in the country in recent years, were presented.
Particular attention was paid to the conditions created for foreign investors, including tax and customs incentives, the activities of free economic zones, and the development of transport, logistics, and digital economic infrastructure. The participants also discussed prospects for deepening interregional cooperation, industrial cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.
Adam Gawrylik declared the region’s interest in expanding practical cooperation with Uzbekistan in the spheres of industry, logistics, education, and innovation.
In his turn, Andrzej Szumowski noted the growing interest of Polish business in Uzbekistan as one of the key economic partners in Central Asia and a promising platform for implementing joint projects.
Within the framework of the forum, video materials on the investment potential of Uzbekistan and the activities of the Termez International Trade Center Free Economic Zone were presented.
Furthermore, B2B and G2B meetings were held, following which preliminary agreements were reached on the implementation of a number of mutually beneficial projects.
