MANCHESTER, August 6. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with Associate Vice President International Professor of Politics University of Manchester, Professor Angelia Wilson, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed matters of developing interaction in the spheres of higher education, scientific research and academic exchange.
Professor Angelia Wilson expressed great interest in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan in areas of priority for the university, including information technology and artificial intelligence, engineering, sustainable development, medicine and healthcare, creative industries, as well as business and management.
In this context, the parties reviewed prospects for implementing joint educational programs with the issuance of dual degrees, specialized training courses, as well as joint research projects in the specified areas.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to commence practical work on launching joint educational projects with interested higher education institutions of Uzbekistan.
University of Manchester is one of the largest and leading research universities in the United Kingdom and is a member of the “Russell Group” - an association of the country's most prestigious universities. According to the “QS World University Rankings 2027”, the university is ranked among the top 40 higher education institutions in the world.
