Navruz Cup Football Tournament among Uzbek compatriots organized in New Jersey

NEW YORK, April 16. /Dunyo IA/. The state of New Jersey hosted a football tournament for Uzbek compatriots under the symbolic name of the Navruz Cup, bringing together 15 teams from various states across the United States, reports the correspondent of Dunyo IA.

The competition became not only a sporting celebration but also an important event strengthening ties within the Uzbek diaspora. The tournament was organized with the active participation of diaspora associations such as Mahalla USA, the Turkestan-American Association, the staff of the General Consulate of our country in New York, as well as guests who arrived specially from Uzbekistan.
The competitive spirit, brotherly atmosphere, and sincere unity were felt throughout the entire tournament. The teams demonstrated a high level of preparation, athletic skill, and friendly competition.
The following day, the event continued with the celebration of Navruz, which was attended by local government representatives. The cultural program included traditional music, dances, and performances by artists, with guests being treated to dishes of traditional Uzbek cuisine.
The Navruz Cup is not being held for the first time and has already secured a firm place in the calendar of key events for the Uzbek diaspora in the United States. Each year, the tournament grows larger, strengthening friendly ties among compatriots and supporting national traditions far from home.
The organizers expressed their gratitude to all participants and guests, emphasizing that such events not only foster a competitive spirit but also play an important role in preserving cultural identity and inter-community unity.
