Uzbekistan U-17 national football team advances to Asian Cup final after defeating North Korean team

TASHKENT, April 18. /Dunyo IA/. Last night in Saudi Arabia, the semi-final matches of the AFC U-17 Asian Cup took place, reports a Dunyo correspondent.

The Uzbekistan U-17 national team secured a confident 3–0 victory over their North Korean counterparts, earning a well-deserved spot in the tournament final.
The scoring was opened in the 31st minute by Sadriddin Khasanov. Just ten minutes later, North Korea was reduced to ten men following the dismissal of midfielder Khan Men Bom. In the second half, Uzbekistan increased the pressure: Jamshidbek Rustamov doubled the lead in the 62nd minute, and just three minutes later, Abubakir Shukurullaev scored the third goal, effectively sealing the outcome of the match.
With this victory, Uzbekistan’s U-17 team advanced to the final, where they will face host nation Saudi Arabia, who defeated South Korea in a penalty shootout in the other semi-final
The final match will take place on April 20 at 20:00 Tashkent time at King Fahd International Stadium in the city of Taif.
Earlier in the tournament, Uzbekistan competed in Group A. They opened the group stage with a 4–1 win over Thailand, followed by a 2–1 victory against China, which secured them an early qualification for the U-17 World Cup in Qatar. In their final group match, Uzbekistan defeated Saudi Arabia 3–0. In the quarterfinals, they overcame the UAE with a 3–1 win.
