TASHKENT, August 14. /Dunyo IA/. The first group of Uzbekistan’s Paralympians arrived in Paris, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

At Charles de Gaulle International Airport, members of our country’s sports delegation were warmly welcomed by representatives of the Organizing Committee of the Summer Paralympic Games and employees of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in France.
Our athletes will participate in training camps for para-athletics and para-swimming, which will be held in Auxerre (170 kilometers from Paris) and Agen (720 kilometers from Paris), respectively. Upon arrival at the training sites, our athletes will undergo acclimatization, necessary health measures, and complete the final stage of preparation for the important Paralympic competitions.
It is worth recalling that the XVII Paralympic Games will be held in Paris from August 28 to September 8. Uzbekistan will be represented at the games in Paris by 65 athletes who have received 113 licenses for the Summer Paralympic Games in athletics, swimming, judo, powerlifting, Canoe Sprint, rowing, taekwondo, shooting, and cycling. These results were achieved thanks to the attention paid by the leadership of the republic to the development of the Paralympic movement and the organization of the training process, which takes into account the physical condition of each para-athlete.
On August 13, a solemn ceremony to see off the sports delegation of our country to the XVII Paralympic Games in Paris was held at the Museum of Olympic Glory in Tashkent. The Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov took part in the ceremony.
