TASHKENT, July 31. /Dunyo IA/. Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has decided to boycott all tournaments of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) if FIFA President Gianni Infantino does not abandon plans to sell part of the World Cup rights to private investors, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the German radio station “Deutsche Welle”, all 55 UEFA members supported the boycott of the World Cup in protest against FIFA’s previously announced plans to sell part of the tournament’s rights to private investors.

On July 30th, an emergency meeting of all 55 national football associations of Europe adopted a decision to boycott all FIFA tournaments if Infantino pushes through his plan to sell part of the World Cup rights to private investors.

European national teams will participate in tournaments only if “proposal is fully withdrawn” and “legally binding guarantees are provided that the organization will never again allow private owners to take control of FIFA or its tournaments”, “Deutsche Welle” reports, citing with UEFA.
