MINSK, August 22. /Dunyo IA/. One of the leading Belarusian entrepreneurs, General Director of the Belarusian LLC “METALLOPTSBYT” Maxim Krupeychenko, in an interview with Dunyo IA, commented on the results of the August 18^th meeting between President of Uzbekistan and entrepreneurs:

-  Initiatives of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to support entrepreneurship open up additional opportunities for both local and foreign businesses.

I would like to particularly emphasize the expansion of access to financing. Aspiring entrepreneurs will be able to receive unsecured loans of up to 200 million soums and apply for online credits of up to 5 billion soums through a unified digital portal.

Conditions for investment are being significantly improved. The down payment for the acquisition of state assets is being reduced from 30 to 15 percent, and the remaining amount, in certain cases, can be paid over a period of up to 7 years interest-free.

A total of 50 million dollars will be allocated for the infrastructure development of new industrial zones, with an additional minimum of 100 million dollars designated for the implementation of artificial intelligence, whereby entrepreneurs will be compensated for 50 percent of the relevant expenses.

Particular importance is attached to supporting businesses in entering foreign markets. At least 1 billion dollars is envisaged to be allocated for these purposes, while simultaneously simplifying export and administrative procedures.

All these decisions demonstrate Uzbekistan's consistent course towards creating a modern, open, and competitive business environment. It is especially symbolic that such large-scale transformations are taking place in the year of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's state independence.
