INCHEON, August 26. /Dunyo IA/. Ahead of the 35^th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, Mayor of Incheon Park Chan-dae conveyed his sincere congratulations and best wishes to the people of Uzbekistan through Dunyo IA:

– On behalf of the City of Incheon and personally, I sincerely congratulate the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of the state independence of Uzbekistan.

Over the years of independence, Uzbekistan has come a long and important way. Today, it is a modern and dynamically developing country that is consistently strengthening its economy, expanding international ties and creating new opportunities for its citizens. Uzbekistan’s achievements are met with sincere respect and interest from the international community.

For us, Uzbekistan is not simply an important partner in Central Asia. It is a friendly country with which we share special human ties, mutual respect and many years of cooperation.

We are particularly close to the relations between our cities. Incheon is an international city that connects the Republic of Korea with countries around the world. Millions of people, goods and ideas pass through our port and international airport. We would like these opportunities to serve the further strengthening of ties between Incheon and Uzbekistan.

Today, trade and economic relations, investment cooperation, and contacts in education, culture, tourism and modern technologies are actively developing between our countries. More and more people from our countries are getting to know each other, working and studying together. In my view, it is precisely these direct human connections that make relations between states truly strong.

We are ready to continue developing practical cooperation with Uzbekistan. I am confident that we have good opportunities for joint projects in logistics, urban infrastructure, digital technologies, education, innovation and culture.

At the same time, I am convinced that our cooperation is not only about the economy and new projects. Above all, it is about trust between people, mutual respect and the desire to look to the future together.

Uzbekistan has enormous potential, a young and talented generation, and occupies an important place in Central Asia. South Korea, in turn, is ready to share its experience and work together with Uzbek partners to find new opportunities for development.

I am confident that relations between the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan will continue to strengthen, and that the friendship between our peoples will grow even stronger.

On this festive day, I wish the people of Uzbekistan peace, prosperity, good health and new successes. I wish Uzbekistan continued prosperity and confident progress.

May the friendship between the Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan, and between Incheon and Uzbek cities, grow stronger with each passing year.
