ANTALYA, September 7. /Dunyo IA/.  At the “Erdem Bayazıt” Cultural Center in the city of Antalya, Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkiye, in cooperation with partner organizations, held a solemn cultural event dedicated to the 35^th Anniversary of the country's Independence, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by representatives of the Antalya Governorate and local municipalities, chambers of commerce and industry, business circles, media, diaspora organizations, and the general public, as well as compatriots residing in Turkiye.

Main part of the festive program featured a concert with the participation of well-known representatives of the Uzbek pop industry – Honoured Artist of Uzbekistan Alisher Fayz and Jamshid Normatov, recognized as the “Best Humorist of the Year”.

Live performance of national and contemporary musical works, stage performances, and the active participation of compatriots created a festive atmosphere and allowed for demonstrating the richness and distinctiveness of modern Uzbek culture. Dishes of the Uzbek national cuisine were also presented to the guests.

Representatives of the Turkish side highly praised the organization of the celebration and emphasized the importance of events aimed at popularizing the rich history and culture of Uzbekistan.

They also expressed interest in the regular holding of joint cultural and humanitarian events and the further strengthening of friendship and mutual affinity between the two nations.
