Festive Evening in Tel Aviv Marks 35th Anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence

• 94TEL AVIV, September 13. /Dunyo IA/. A cultural and musical evening titled “From Uzbekistan with Love” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence was held at the Heichal HaTarbut concert complex in Tel Aviv, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan jointly with the World Congress of Bukharian Jews and brought together more than 400 guests, including representatives of the Israeli government, members of the Knesset and the diplomatic corps.
Guests were presented with Uzbek national cuisine and a tourism exhibition showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential. The musical program featured performances by ensembles of local Bukharian Jews and Uzbek artist Ulmas Olloberganov.
Particular attention was given to Uzbekistan’s achievements over the years of independence, including political, socio-economic and educational reforms, economic modernization and the expansion of international cooperation.
Honorary guests also highlighted the historical ties between the two peoples, particularly the humanitarian spirit of the Uzbek people and Uzbekistan’s acceptance of more than one million Jewish evacuees during the Second World War.
At the conclusion of the evening, participants expressed their appreciation to the organizers for the festive event and for showcasing Uzbekistan’s culture and traditions.
