NIĞDE, July 12. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan and representatives of the Migration Agency visited the Turkish province of Niğde, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, they held a meeting with Bilgehan Güny, Chairman of the Niğde Province Livestock Breeders Association.
Bilgehan Güny noted that the Association comprises over 14,000 members and emphasized that the farming enterprises affiliated with it are currently experiencing an acute shortage of skilled labor. He expressed strong interest in establishing cooperation with Uzbekistan in this area.
The Uzbek diplomats provided detailed information on the large-scale reforms underway in the country related to the regulation of migration processes, the organization of safe and structured labor migration, and the support provided to citizens working temporarily abroad and to their families.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to organize an expanded gathering in August this year, focused on the labor potential of Uzbek citizens, the needs of Niğde’s business community, and the current demands of the local labor market.
As part of the visit, the delegation also toured the "Tuğrul Genomik Damızlık Düve Süt Üretim Çiftliği" – a breeding and dairy enterprise specializing in the genetic selection and improvement of livestock breeds using modern technologies. The facility is engaged in raising high-breed cattle and producing quality dairy and meat products.
Following negotiations, agreements were reached on further cooperation with the enterprise in the area of organized employment of citizens of Uzbekistan. According to preliminary arrangements, workers will be provided with a competitive salary, three hot meals daily, and dormitory accommodation. Additionally, the employer will be responsible for securing work visas, permits, and social insurance coverage.
It is worth noting that the involvement of skilled Uzbek workers at this enterprise and their exposure to advanced Turkish practices is expected to contribute to the further development of the livestock sector in Uzbekistan.
