RIGA, December 14. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Latvia continues its systematic monitoring of working and living conditions for Uzbek nationals temporarily employed in the country, providing comprehensive legal protection, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Consular officials provided guidance on Latvian labor legislation, temporary legal status, medical insurance, and personal safety, along with the relevant Embassy contact information for urgent assistance. Participants received explanations regarding consular services, including registration in the temporary consular registry and preparation of necessary documentation.
Embassy staff recently met with Uzbek employees of the logistics company "Kriess" in Riga. Diplomats reviewed employment contracts, working conditions, wage payments, housing, and access to healthcare.
Discussions with the company administration focused on ensuring dignified labor conditions and safeguarding the rights and interests of Uzbek citizens.
