KURGAN, August 24. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg held meetings with prospective employers as part of efforts to develop labour migration and promote the organized employment of Uzbek citizens abroad, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During a visit to Russia’s Kurgan Region, a meeting was held with Oleg Chernyak, Head of Kurganstalmost JSC, and responsible representatives of the enterprise. Parties discussed prospects for the further organized employment of Uzbek citizens at the company.

Following the meeting with the company’s management, a dialogue was held with Uzbek compatriots temporarily working at the enterprise.

The meeting highlighted the consistent efforts undertaken by the leadership of Uzbekistan to protect the rights and legitimate interests of its citizens regardless of their place of residence abroad. The compatriots were reminded of the importance of observing public order, rules of conduct, and the legislation of the Russian Federation, as well as their personal responsibility for contributing to a positive image of Uzbekistan abroad.

Particular attention was devoted to preventing offenses. Participants were informed that there have been cases of individuals being recruited through social media into activities associated with religious extremism, terrorism, and illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs. Compatriots were advised to exercise vigilance when using online resources and not to fall victim to offers or provocations that could lead to unlawful activities.

As part of preventive efforts, a separate discussion was also held on the risks of being drawn into various unlawful activities and the importance of critically assessing suspicious offers received through the internet and social media.

In addition, separate meetings were held with four Uzbek compatriots engaged in entrepreneurial activities in the Kurgan Region and creating temporary employment opportunities for Uzbek citizens.

During the meetings, entrepreneurs were advised to strengthen awareness-raising efforts among Uzbek citizens working under their supervision in light of the increasing number of unmanned aerial vehicle attacks reported in certain regions of Russia. Particular emphasis was placed on the need to observe safety measures and prevent employees from becoming involved in unlawful activities.

Such meetings contribute to strengthening cooperation with employers and Uzbek compatriots, expanding opportunities for the organized employment of Uzbek citizens, and enhancing their legal awareness and safety during their stay abroad.
