Khiva prepares for the traditional festival "Qovun sayli"

TASHKENT, August 1. /Dunyo IA/. From August 9 to 11, the traditional melon festival "Qovun sayli" will be held in Khiva, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to Uzbektourism, the festival will include an exhibition of agricultural products, performances of folklore groups, concert programs, a demonstration of works of fine art, an exhibition of handicrafts, performances of tightrope walkers, puppet shows, master classes on cooking national cuisine and Khorezm bread, an exhibition of national costumes, performances by artists and other cultural events.
The events will take place on the territory of the State Museum-Reserve "Ichan Kala".
As the organizers promise, "Qovun sayli" will be more than just a festival; it will be a journey into the soul of Khorezm.
