NOVOSIBIRSK, September 11. /Dunyo IA/.   Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk organized an online meeting between representatives of the tourism authorities of our country and the Republic of Khakassia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by officials from the Tourism Committee of Uzbekistan, over 20 domestic tour operators, as well as representatives from the Ministry of Economic Development and the Tourism Information Center of Khakassia.

Minister of Economic Development of Khakassia, Roman Kovtun, highlighted the significant potential for the further expansion of tourism cooperation with Uzbekistan. According to him, the region currently possesses 12 major national tour operators and more than 50 active representatives of the tourism business.

Parties also discussed the implementation of the 2026 Cooperation Plan between Khakassia and the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Novosibirsk. It is planned to organize familiarization tours for tourism industry representatives of the two regions in September–October.

Uzbek side presented the country's tourism potential, emphasizing its safety, linguistic comfort, and opportunities for year-round recreation. Representatives of Khakassia were invited to participate in the “Tourism on the Silk Road” International Tourism Fair, scheduled to take place in Tashkent in November 2026.
