TASHKENT, September 23. /Dunyo IA/.  In January–August 2026, 46,157 foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan to receive medical services, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, the largest number of citizens arriving in the country for medical treatment were from neighbouring Central Asian states.

In particular, during the first eight months of the year, 24,293 people arrived from Tajikistan for medical treatment, followed by 11,853 from the Kyrgyz Republic; 7,022 from Kazakhstan; 1,596 from Afghanistan and 1,225 from Russia.

Another 168 foreign nationals arrived for medical treatment from other countries.

Thus, citizens of Tajikistan, Kyrgyz Republic and Kazakhstan accounted for nearly 94 percent of the total number of foreign nationals who visited Uzbekistan for medical purposes.

Statistical indicators demonstrate the continued interest of foreign nationals in medical services provided in Uzbekistan. At the same time, the main flow of patients comes from Central Asian countries, creating additional opportunities for further development of medical tourism, expansion of the range of medical services, and strengthening Uzbekistan’s position as a regional healthcare hub.

It should be recalled that in the first half of the year, 35,401 foreign nationals visited Uzbekistan to receive medical services.
