NEW YORK, April 1. /Dunyo IA/. In the heart of New York, at the famous Times Square, a video about Uzbekistan was shown throughout the day, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The initiative for the broadcast came from the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in New York as part of efforts to promote the country's tourism potential on the international stage.
Two screens in one of the world's most visited locations alternately displayed vibrant footage showcasing Uzbekistan's architecture, natural beauty, and cultural diversity. Thousands of passers by, including tourists and locals, had the opportunity to explore the splendor of ancient cities as well as the modern dynamism of the country.
Representatives of the Uzbek consulate emphasized that such actions help build a positive image of Uzbekistan, attract foreign tourists and investors, and strengthen cultural ties between nations.
Times Square, known as the "crossroad of the world", is one of New York’s most popular tourist attractions, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors daily. The placement of the video on its screens is not only effective advertising but also a symbolic representation of Uzbekistan on the global stage.
The organizers expressed hope that the video would spark interest among potential travelers, inspiring them to explore Uzbekistan – a country with a rich history, a welcoming culture, and the unique atmosphere of the East.
