Uzbekistan’s tourism potential presented in the Japanese city of Fukuoka

• 311FUKUOKA, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. A seminar dedicated to promoting the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in the Japanese city of Fukuoka, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Japanese travel companies “Hankyu Travel International Co., Ltd.” and “All Co., Ltd”.
The seminar was attended by representatives of Japanese travel agencies, as well as Japanese citizens planning trips to Uzbekistan.
During the event, information was presented regarding tourism sector reforms in Uzbekistan, the facilities created for foreign tourists, and the development of modern hotel infrastructure. The tourism opportunities of historic cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Shakhrisabz and Termez were also showcased, alongside presentations on national culture, traditions, and cuisine. Participants were shown promotional videos.
Following the seminar, a “Questions&Answers” session was organized, and guests were provided with brochures, books and tourist maps dedicated to our country’s tourism potential.
Within the framework of the event, negotiations were held with the Executive Director of the Kyushu Bureau of “Hankyu Travel International Co., Ltd.”, Nobuyuki Onishi, the Head of the Media Sales Department, Shintaro He and Manager Akihiro Tsuchiya. During the discussions, issues related to increasing the flow of tourists from Japan to Uzbekistan were addressed, as well as the organization of familiarization (FAM) trips for Japanese tour operators.
The company representatives emphasized that Japanese tourists are showing increasing interest in Central Asian countries, including Uzbekistan, as new and safe travel destinations.
This event will contribute to promoting Uzbekistan's tourism potential in the Japanese market, further strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries and developing new travel programs.
