TASHKENT, June 13. /Dunyo IA/. Today, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, held talks in Cairo with Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of Egypt, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
“Had a substantive and open dialogue with H.E. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - First and foremost, we expressed our appreciation to the Egyptian side for the warm welcome and sincere hospitality extended to our delegation.
Noted with satisfaction that relations between Uzbekistan and Egypt continue to strengthen steadily on the basis of mutual respect, trust, and shared interests. Also reaffirmed our common view on the importance of further intensifying political dialogue at the high levels.
Discussed prospects for expanding trade, economic, and investment partnership, enhancing contacts between business communities, and increasing the number of joint projects.
Exchanged views on current regional and international issues. Highly appreciated Egypt’s efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.
We are confident that the close and trust-based cooperation established between our Ministries of Foreign Affairs will continue to contribute to further strengthening practical engagement across all areas of cooperation”.
