Issues of organizing the activities of the Tashkent International Financial Center discussed in London

LONDON, June 14. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov, met with a member of the UK Parliament, President of the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre, Lord John Thomas, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the conversation, John Thomas highly assessed the large-scale reforms implemented in Uzbekistan in recent years. Particular attention was paid to measures aimed at strengthening the independence of the judiciary, improving the quality of justice, as well as enhancing the legal protection of citizens and business entities.

In addition, he supported the initiative to establish the Tashkent International Financial Center, noting that the implementation of this project will contribute to the further improvement of the country's investment climate, the expansion of integration into international financial markets, and the formation of a modern legal and institutional infrastructure.

According to John Thomas, the introduction of the principles of the common law of England and Wales into the center's activities will strengthen the confidence of international investors and increase the competitiveness of Uzbekistan in the global financial market.

Following the results of the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on cooperation regarding the issues of organizing the activities of the Tashkent International Financial Center.
