ASHGABAT, July 26. /Dunyo IA/. A briefing dedicated to the tourism potential of Uzbekistan was held in the capital of Turkmenistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, tour operators and media outlets.

Participants were presented with the tourism opportunities of Uzbekistan, its rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as travel routes covering the ancient cities of the Great Silk Road, including Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Tashkent, Termez and Shahrisabz.

Particular attention was paid to the development of new types of tourism and digital services for travellers.

During the briefing, prospects for developing joint tourism routes with Turkmenistan were discussed, including the “Khiva – Urgench – Ashgabat – Mary – Bukhara” route. Turkmen tour operators were invited to expand cooperation in the field of tourism exchange and the implementation of joint projects.

Event concluded with the presentation of video materials, a photo exhibition, and information resources highlighting Uzbekistan’s tourism potential.
