WARSAW, March 1. /IA “Doone"/. The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Bahrom Babayev met with the president of the international rating agency IREG Valdemar Sivinsky, the correspondent of the news agency “Doone" reports.

It discussed the organization of future Uzbek-Polish educational forums in Tashkent.

The head of the rating agency highly appreciated the attention paid in Uzbekistan to the higher education system, as well as the field of personnel training. According to him, the quality of higher education in our country meets the highest international standards, and at the same time takes into account national values.

It was noted at the meeting that a delegation of more than 30 rectors and professors of Polish universities is currently being formed, headed by the chairman of the Council of Rectors of Polish Universities, Andrzej Melchik, who will take part in the Forum of Rectors of Universities of Uzbekistan and Poland. This event is of great interest to both sides, and in accordance with a preliminary agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan, the event is scheduled to be held on April 26 this year.

At the same time, the issue of holding the annual conference on ratings and international interuniversity cooperation "IREG-2023: Academic Ratings" on April 27-28 in Tashkent was discussed. This event will give impetus to the entry of universities of Uzbekistan into the IREG academic rating system. The conference is expected to be attended by IREG members, rectors of universities in Canada, Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, Poland, China, Singapore, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
