WARSAW, February 2. /Dunyo IA/.   Uzbek diplomats in Poland held a meeting with Waldemar Siwiński, founder of the “Perspektywy” Educational Foundation and President of the “IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Discussions focused on advancing educational and scientific cooperation between universities in Uzbekistan and the European Union to a higher level.

Particular attention was given to organizational matters related to the upcoming “Congress of Technical and Medical Universities of Central Asia and the European Union”, scheduled to take place in Samarkand on 13-14 April 2026.

It was also noted that convenient transport connections will be a decisive factor in ensuring the full participation of rectors from the most prestigious European universities in the Congress.

Following the talks, Kongratbay Sharipov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan, received formal proposals and an official letter addressing these matters.
