President of Uzbekistan reviews presentation on promising initiatives

ТАSHKENT, May 22. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed projects selected as part of the “Kelajak uchun” (For the Future) forum of promising initiatives, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, an important aspect of the reforms being carried out in the country is the support of forward-looking ideas proposed by citizens, especially young people and proactive members of society, as well as the creation of open and effective mechanisms for transforming them into practical projects.

In accordance with the Presidential Decree of July 14, 2025, “On Additional Measures to Further Support Promising Initiatives in the Implementation of Reforms” the “Kelajak uchun” forum of promising initiatives was introduced. Its main objective is to identify, support, and implement relevant proposals put forward by the public.

As part of the forum, the crowd-platform kelajakuchun.gov.uz was launched, enabling citizens to openly publish their initiatives and submit them for review and expert evaluation.

This year, the forum’s organizing committee identified entrepreneurship and employment, ecology, water supply and the expansion of green energy, the implementation of digital technologies and artificial intelligence, improving the quality of healthcare and education, as well as the modernization of the judicial and legal system based on modern approaches as priority areas.

Following the announcement of the forum, more than 1,300 proposals and initiatives were submitted by citizens. They were preliminarily reviewed by the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms and the Business Development Bank and systematized according to the established priority areas.

The initiatives were subsequently analysed with the participation of members of the Council of Mentors and industry experts and evaluated in terms of practical significance, feasibility, socio-economic impact, and scalability. As a result, a top 50 and a top 10 of the most relevant projects were selected.

 

On the opening day of the forum, an awards ceremony was held for the authors of the initiatives included in the top 10. The winners received certificates and cash prizes.

Among the projects presented to the President were initiatives focused on the use of plastic waste in road construction, the development of an innovative air purification device, supplying remote areas with energy through mobile units, introducing an automated warning system at pedestrian crossings, and creating a national engineering platform.

It was noted that each of these initiatives is aimed at addressing specific social and economic challenges.

The projects will be assigned to the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, the Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Transport, the Committee for Automobile Roads, and other relevant organizations in accordance with their respective areas of responsibility.

An action plan for their implementation will be approved, while the progress of each initiative will be subject to systematic monitoring. JSCB “Business Development Bank” will participate in financing promising projects and continuously monitoring their implementation.

The Head of State emphasized the importance of focusing on the practical outcomes of the initiatives, working jointly with their authors, and transforming each project into a viable, cost-effective and beneficial solution for the people.
