“Hadramawt”: Uzbekistan to launch unified national tourism platform with online booking and personalized itineraries from 2026

SANA, December 5. /Dunyo IA/. Yemen’s widely read news portal “Hadramawt” has published an article detailing Uzbekistan’s strategic plans for the development of its tourism sector, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The publication reports that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed the resolution “On the Organization of the Activities of the Tourism Committee and Measures for the Accelerated Development of the Tourism Sector”. The official document outlines strategic priorities and concrete steps for the systematic development of the country’s tourism industry through 2030.

According to the resolution, “Tourism Committee is established as a republican executive body vested with authority to draft regulatory and legal acts, manage budgetary resources, and coordinate international activities”, - the article notes.

The publication highlights that the key objectives of the decree include raising the share of tourism in GDP from 3.5% to 7%, increasing the number of international tourists from 10 million to 20 million per year, including a higher proportion of high-spending visitors, and boosting the export of tourism services to over 6 billion U.S. dollars.

The report emphasizes that special attention is being devoted to improving transport logistics, increasing the number of domestic flights and reducing travel times by at least threefold, doubling the number of 4-star and 5-star hotels, diversifying tourism products, and building a globally recognizable brand for Uzbekistan.

The publication also highlights that, starting July 1, 2026, a unified national tourism platform and mobile application are scheduled to launch. These digital tools will enable tourists to utilize an electronic SIM card, complete temporary registration, book tickets online, and access a “single-ticket” system for all tourist sites.

“The platform will feature interactive maps, a digital guide with audio and video support, as well as tools for personalized itinerary planning and tourist flow forecasting based on big data and artificial intelligence. The system will also be integrated with the “Safe City” platform”, - “Hadramawt” concludes.
