Interregional Partnership between Uzbekistan and Germany Gains Practical Momentum

BERLIN, February 3. /“Dunyo” IA/. Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Dilshod Akhatov met with Jochen Schulte, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Tourism, and Labour of the federal state of Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania, “Dunyo” IA's correspondent reports.
During the meeting, the parties discussed ways to elevate trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian, and tourism ties between Uzbekistan’s regions and Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania to a new level.
Both sides expressed their readiness to further develop bilateral relations with practical initiatives and to continue cooperating on the organization of coordinated high-level events.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to intensify cooperation in several areas. In particular, in 2026, a delegation led by Jochen Schulte, including representatives from official and business circles, will visit Uzbekistan. During the visit, a series of meetings are planned in Tashkent and other regions.
Joint projects will also be implemented to provide Uzbek youth with professional training and German language education in Germany, as well as opportunities to gain work experience in leading tourism and gastronomy companies. In addition, presentations on Uzbekistan’s economic and tourism potential will be held in major cities across Mecklenburg–Western Pomerania.
