ТASHKENT, January 15. /Dunyo IA/.  President Shavkat Mirziyoyev reviewed presentations on construction projects aimed at developing tourism, transport, and social infrastructure, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, the country's high economic growth rates, active foreign policy, expansion of international cooperation and the transformation of Uzbekistan into a center of business activity and tourism require the proactive and balanced development of infrastructure. In this regard, special attention is being paid to the creation of modern transport networks, service facilities and public buildings.

During the presentation, projects in various regions of the country were reviewed.

In particular, a congress center and a historical and ethnographic park are planned to be built in the city of Khiva. These facilities will facilitate the organization of major international events and increase tourist traffic.

There are also plans to build a Confucius Institute and a Luban workshop, which will provide facilities for cultural and educational events and training young people in modern professions.

As part of the modernization of Urgench International Airport, there are plans to expand its infrastructure, improve the quality of passenger and cargo services and strengthen logistics capabilities, which will allow to elevate the transport potential of the region to a new level.

In addition, it is planned to build a separate railway line from Urgench station to the renovated airport, which will significantly improve convenience for passengers.

Projects have also been proposed to improve and landscape the existing Urgench-Khiva highway, as well as to build an alternative motorway.

A project to build an exhibition center in Fergana was discussed, which will create the necessary conditions for holding international exhibitions, business forums and major events. It was noted that the implementation of this project will contribute to increasing the investment attractiveness of the region.

In addition, an initiative to create a research center named after Burhoniddin Margilani was presented. The center plans to establish international-level activities in the field of spiritual heritage and scientific research, as well as to form a modern scientific school.

Proposals for the construction of a new modern campus for Bukhara State University were considered. The need to create a comfortable educational and scientific environment for teachers and students was emphasized.

Plans are in place to build a modern artistic gymnastics complex in the city of Tashkent. The center will provide all the conditions necessary to unlock the potential of young people and train professional gymnasts.

President underlined the importance of strict compliance with the quality requirements, comfort and modern standards during project implementation, as well as increasing the culture of urban planning and considering the needs of the population, giving relevant instructions to the responsible officials.
