ASHGABAT, March 15. /Dunyo IA/. A meeting was held in Ashgabat between the Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshanbek Alimov and Khangeldi Kerimov, Minister of Motor Roads of Turkmenistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, parties discussed current issues of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan in the field of road construction and the development of transport and transit corridors.

Particular attention was paid to the introduction of modern technologies in the road sector, the digitalization of management systems, the design and construction of bridges and transport infrastructure, as well as the exchange of experience in other mutually beneficial areas.

The sides agreed to intensify practical cooperation, including the organization of mutual visits, working meetings at the expert level and the development and implementation of joint projects.

It was noted that the construction and commissioning of the “Ashgabat -Turkmenabat” High-Speed Highway will contribute to increasing trade volumes and cargo transportation between the two countries, as well as to the development of international transport and transit routes.
