Uzbekistan showcases its presence at “International Day” celebrations in Egypt

• 504CAIRO, January 14. /Dunyo IA/. Representatives of Uzbekistan participated for the first time in the 44th Annual “International Day” organized by the “Pakistani International School Cairo” (PISC) at the “Al-Galaa” Complex in the Egyptian capital, Dunyo News Agency reports.
As part of the event, which brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Cairo, international organizations as well as Egypt’s official and business circles, information was presented on Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, its rich cultural and historical heritage and the country’s “New Uzbekistan” development concept.
Special presentations by the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee highlighted key tours along the Great Silk Road, including visits to Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva as well as rapidly growing modern tourism sectors in Uzbekistan, such as gastronomic, pilgrimage and cultural tourism.
The cultural program featured a traditional Uzbek dance, vividly showcasing the vibrancy and uniqueness of Uzbek traditions, which drew considerable interest from attendees.
Guests were also served traditional Uzbek cuisine, prepared by members of the Uzbek diaspora living in Egypt. The national dishes made a positive impression on attendees, sparking lively interest in Uzbekistan and its gastronomic tourism offerings.
Principal of Pakistan International School, Saiyed Tosef Hussain Bukhari praised the participation of Uzbekistan’s representatives in the International Day events, noting that the country’s culture and tourism potential undoubtedly contribute to strengthening Uzbekistan’s positive image within Cairo’s diplomatic circles and to increasing tourist flows from the Middle East and Africa.
