ТASHKENT, January 19. /Dunyo IA/.  President of Uzbekistan has signed a decree awarding Hayriddin Sultanov the honorary title of “People’s Writer of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The decree states that the honorary title “People’s Writer of the Republic of Uzbekistan” has been awarded to Khayriddin Sultanov Madridinovich, Presidential Advisor and speechwriter, for his many years of fruitful service in state institutions, his significant contributions to the development of national literature and culture, his unique talent and multifaceted creative work and his outstanding achievements in enhancing artistic thinking as well as the spiritual and intellectual potential of the Uzbek people. The honour also recognizes his enrichment of the treasury of Uzbek literature with vivid works on historical and contemporary themes, his efforts to popularize the essence of the country’s ongoing reforms among the public, his role in educating the younger generation in the spirit of love for the Motherland and loyalty to the ideals of independence and his active participation in socio-political life. This award is also conferred on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
