CAIRO, January 28. /Dunyo IA/. The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Egypt has organized a visit by a delegation from the Egyptian company “ElSewedy Electric Group” to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the visit, a series of bilateral meetings took place, including with officials from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Water Resources, “Uzbekistan National Electric Networks” JSC (O’zbekiston milliy elektr tarmoqlari) and “Uzsuvtaminot” JSC as well as with private companies such as “EGG Energy Construction”, “Uzbekagromashservice” and “AgroTech Service”.

The discussions focused on opportunities and prospects for projects in energy management solutions and the implementation of “smart” electricity meters as well as construction and modernization programs for electrical substations and transmission lines, water treatment and pumping facilities and the introduction of modern water-saving technologies for agriculture, including drip irrigation and pivot irrigation systems.

Additionally, projects related to water supply, wastewater treatment and desalination were considered.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop cooperation in the relevant sectors and areas of mutual interest.
