BARCELONA, February 23. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan will be the guest country at the international tourism exhibition B-Travel, scheduled to take place from 20 to 22 March in Barcelona, reports Dunyo IA correspondent, citing “Europa Press” and “Demócrata”.

The event is scheduled to take place at the “Montjuïc” venue of “Fira de Barcelona”, where Uzbekistan will showcase a comprehensive program of presentations and promotional activities, occupying a central position on the forum’s business agenda.

In recent years, Uzbekistan has emerged as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations, owing to its rich historical heritage along the legendary Silk Road, which historically linked China with the Mediterranean, as well as its renowned cities, including Tashkent and Samarkand - the latter recognized as one of the world’s oldest and most celebrated cities. The country’s wealth of Islamic architecture and other unique cultural landmarks further underscores its historical and cultural significance.

Martí Sarrate, President of “B‑Travel”, the tourism fair organized by “Fira de Barcelona” is working to showcase destinations with distinct identities, capable of surprising audiences and generating new business opportunities for the industry. According to him, Uzbekistan’s presence as a partner country will not only enrich the exhibition programme but also open new avenues for collaboration among tourism professionals, agencies and tour operators.

He also expressed gratitude for the trust placed by the authorities and tourism representatives of Uzbekistan, which will allow visitors to discover a destination rich in history, traditions and future potential.
