EINSIEDELN, December 24. /Dunyo IA/. A presentation showcasing Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage and tourism potential was held in the Swiss city of Einsiedeln, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event in the Swiss city of Einsiedeln brought together local tour operators, travel agencies, cultural figures and members of the public to explore Uzbekistan’s cultural heritage and tourism potential.

Participants received detailed briefings on recent reforms in Uzbekistan’s tourism sector aimed at transforming it into a strategic economic direction. Highlights included the expansion of visa-free travel for foreign tourists, modernization of the aviation and transport sectors and upgrading hotel services and infrastructure to meet international standards.

Guests watched specially produced videos showcasing the ancient cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva and Shakhrisabz, all listed as UNESCO World Heritage sites and their architectural masterpieces. Uzbekistan impressed visitors not only as a country with a rich history, but also as a destination for eco-tourism, culinary tours, pilgrimage, sports and adventure tourism, winter holidays and a variety of other travel experiences.

Kristina Porsche, a cultural figure, noted: “Uzbekistan stands out for its stability, safety and extraordinary hospitality. Our clients want to see the magic of the East with their own eyes and Uzbekistan is the perfect place for that”.

The presentation also featured an exhibition of exquisite Uzbek atlases, adras textiles, traditional clothing and ceramics, highlighting the richness of Uzbek culture. A tasting of national dishes and sweets added an authentic Eastern ambiance to the event.
