Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to the King of Sweden

STOCKHOLM, December 7. / Dunyo IA /. The New Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov, presented his credentials to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden on December 4, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the discussion following the official ceremony, the parties explored prospects for enhancing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Sweden across various sectors.
Particular attention was given to increasing bilateral trade volumes, fostering ties between economic sectors and businesses, and strengthening collaboration in areas such as climate change adaptation, green economy initiatives, science and education, healthcare, and cultural exchanges.
Ambassador Rakhmatulla Nurimbetov arrived in Stockholm on October 15 to assume his post. Prior to his appointment to Sweden, he served as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan in 2023-2024. He holds a Doctor of Political Science (DsC) degree and is fluent in German, Spanish, and English.
