Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan congratulated the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan over the phone on the country’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2027-2028.

TASHKENT, June 3. /Dunyo IA/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov today held a telephone conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Had a phone conversation with H.E. Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - Underscored the strengthening of Uzbekistan – At the outset of our discussion, we sincerely congratulated the Kyrgyz side on the election of the Kyrgyz Republic as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the 2027–2028 term. Noted that this historic achievement reflects the country’s growing international standing and serves as a recognition of its active contributions to multilateral diplomacy.

Also noted with satisfaction the current high level of friendship, good-neighborliness, and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan. We discussed the implementation of the priorities set by our Heads of State, as well as further expansion of cooperation in trade and economic affairs, transport and connectivity, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges”.
