TASHKENT, May 11. /Dunyo IA/. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov today held a telephone conversation with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

“Had a candid phone conversation with H.E. Rashid Meredov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, - the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram-channel. - During the conversation, we once again underscored with satisfaction the high level of Uzbek-Turkmen relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership, which continue to strengthen consistently across all areas.

Also particularly noted the successful organization in Uzbekistan on May 8–10 of the Scientific and Practical Conference “Akhal-Teke Horses – a Symbol of Friendship of Nations” as well as large-scale and spectacular international equestrian events held jointly with the Turkmen side and foreign guests at a high level.

Expressed a shared view that the equestrian competitions have become an important platform for further strengthening the bonds of brotherhood between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, as well as for expanding cultural and humanitarian cooperation.

Also noted with particular satisfaction that, alongside numerous prizes, the winners of the competitions were honoured with high awards on behalf of H.E. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and H.E. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov”.
