JAKARTA, November 1. /Dunyo IA/. The central state channel of Indonesia, TVRI (Television of the Republic of Indonesia), aired a video report on the outcomes of the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The political commentator stated that the elections for the deputies of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan took place on Sunday, October 27. The program highlighted that, following amendments to the Constitution of Uzbekistan in 2023, a mixed electoral system was used for the first time in the country.
"The Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan reported that 15,027,529 voters participated in the voting process, which is 74.72 percent of the total number of voters", said the commentator.
It was noted that the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis consists of 150 deputies, with 50 percent elected from single-member districts and the other half elected through proportional voting from party lists.
The host emphasized that another important aspect of this year's elections was the complete digitization of the electoral process.
"Over 850 foreign and international observers from various countries, including Indonesia, participated in the parliamentary elections. Most international observers unanimously noted that the parliamentary elections in Uzbekistan were conducted openly and transparently, meeting all accepted criteria and requirements", highlighted the TVRI channel.
